WJM International’s safety policy contains the framework for insuring compliance with all U.S. Army, Department of Defense, Occupational Safety, and Health Administration (OSHA), Host Nation and company safety directives as it pertains to safety in the theater of operations.
Successful implementation of the safety program will depend on the involvement of both management and employees. The primary goal of this workplace safety program is to establish the principle that it is the responsibility of all personnel within the company to create and maintain a safe working environment.
Workplace safety is about preventing injury and illness to employees in the workplace. Only through joint commitment on the part of management and employees can workplace accidents, injuries and illnesses be reduced or eliminated. Employees are required to work safely in accordance with all WJM International safety SOP’s and job specific SOP’s and to report unsafe acts or conditions to their supervisor.
In addition, it is important that employees play an active role in safety and health by participating in programs such as safety committees and acting as safety representatives within their sections.
